processing of data of minors

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at privacy@baat.nl, then we will remove this information.

personal data we process and why we need data

Baat accountants &adviseurs processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Entering into and executing service agreements (including processing payments, informing you about changes to our services and products and being able to call you if this is necessary to carry out our services) as well as maintaining the resulting relationships, including marketing activities. Providing this information is completely voluntary when entering into the service agreement. This information is necessary for entering into and executing service agreements with you or concluding or settling them. If you do not provide the information, you cannot enter into an agreement with Baat accountants & advisors. We keep this data for as long as necessary to properly perform our services and agreements. We will then destroy it, unless we are legally obliged to keep it longer. For this purpose we process, among other things:
    • your name and address details;
    • phone number;
    • e-mail address;
    • Company Name;
    • sex;
    • date of birth;
    • any financial, fiscal or legal relevant data and associated correspondence.
  • Sending our newsletter and/or topic. If you are a customer of Baat accountants & advisors, we regularly send you a newsletter and/or topic to inform you about, among other things, changes in services and information relevant to your company that we believe we should point out to you in the context of the execution of the service agreement. Every item sent in this context contains an unsubscribe link that you can use to unsubscribe from this service.
  • Contact Form. You can ask us questions and/or leave a message using the various contact forms on our website. We use the following information to contact you regarding your submitted information/response.
    • your name and address details;
    • phone number;
    • e-mail address.

Baat accountants &adviseurs will not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Where applicable, we use the applicable legal retention periods for the data we collect.

Baat accountants &adviseurs does not sell or rent your information to third parties and will only provide it to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Baat accountants & advisors remains responsible for these processing operations.

Insofar as there is consent for the processing of the data, you have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data at any time.

Baat accountants & advisors can be found on various social media, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. If you participate in social media activities, you should be familiar with the tools these apps/websites provide for setting your preferences for sharing personal information through your social media profile(s). We advise you to read the relevant privacy statement, user agreements and related information about the use of your personal data in these social media environments. Depending on the preferences you have set on various social media websites/apps, and your settings on our pages, certain information may be shared with Baat accountants & advisors.

view, modify or delete data

Based on the GDPR, you have the following rights to ensure fair processing of your personal data:

  • receive an explanation about what personal data we have and what we do with it;
  • access to the precise personal data we have;
  • having errors corrected or data supplemented if it is incorrect;
  • having your personal data deleted in connection with your ‘right to be forgotten (online);

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we may ask you to identify yourself so that we can identify you by sending a copy of your proof of identity by email. We hereby ask you to make your passport photo, MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) passport number and citizen service number illegible/unrecognizable. We will not store any information about you regarding this identification, to protect your privacy. Baat accountants &adviseurs will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but at least within four weeks.

You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you have reasonable grounds to believe that your personal data is being handled in a non-confidential manner. This authority is authorized to take note of your complaint.

Baat accountants & advisors and all affiliated entities take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.

Baat accountants & advisors and all affiliated entities have in any case taken the following security measures in the context of its services to its customers:

  1. daily backup and recovery options;
  2. security of network connections;
  3. limited allocation of powers classified by function for persons charged with carrying out the processing (including periodic checks on this);
  4. Encryption of personal data is partly used during electronic transfer to external parties in the context of the provision of services;
  5. implementation of security policies;
  6. implementation of code of conduct for staff;
  7. confidentiality agreements in employment contracts and contracts with third parties;
  8. intruder alarm on business premises;
  9. mandatory use of access control through passwords and/or personal access codes;
  10. logging and control of access to personal data;
  11. (sub)processor agreements with third parties;
  12. storing data files within the secure environment.
